Being a weather proof stone, slate is widely used for different types of roofing application. For several varied application, slate stone come in different colors such as green, purple, red, gray and black etc which are capable of imparting a sensational charisma of charm. These colors are available in numerous hues amongst different quarries. A standard slate roof is composed of slate approximately 3/16" thick.

There exists huge variety of slate sheets, available in various sizes and patterns to specifically meet any type of requirement that might be there. The pieces are of one uniform standard length and width and are cut with a square tail which is then laid to uniform horizontal lines. Apart from the standard sizes, there also exists different sizes to meet varied needs of the customers. Various shades of slate are alsoi available to enhance the color effect of the overall design.
