Granite slab basically refers to a broad, flat, thick piece of granite. Granite is a common, coarse-grained, light-colored, hard igneous rock comprising chiefly of quartz, orthoclase or microcline, and mica, used in monuments and for building. Granite are well known for their long lasting longevity, as compared to procelain or slate granite slabs are much expensive.
Granite slabs come in different shapes such as square, rectangular, circular, oval and pentagon. In accordance of their sizes granite slabs can be put into several uses e.g. the large sized slabs are widely used for laying floors in large halls and as counter tops and table tops, these are also used in kitchen because of its hardness and the polish which makes it easier to be cleaned. Therefore their usage varies in accordance with the finish, thickness and color of the slab.
